Comma Joins the Milken Institutes’ Women’s Health Network

Announcing Comma’s Acceptance into the Women’s Health Network!

We are thrilled to share that Comma has joined as a founding member of the Milken Institute’s Women’s Health Network. Through a selective application process, Comma is now part of this global community of leaders advancing research and innovation in women’s health.

By joining this Network, Comma will collaborate with leading experts across academia, research, finance, and investment to help ensure that innovations in women’s health don’t remain siloed but reach the people who need them most.

Through this partnership, Comma aims to accelerate the development and accessibility of transformative health solutions, support cross-disciplinary research initiatives, and identify scalable strategies that address persistent gaps in care and equity. Looking ahead, the Network will serve as a platform for convening thought leaders, sharing best practices, and fostering collaborations that bridge the gap between innovation and implementation.

“’If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together’ is an African proverb we cite regularly at Comma. As an epidemiologist, I’ve worked in women’s health in academic research, at NGOs, and now as a startup founder. The Milken Institute’s Women’s Health Network has built something bigger than the sum of its parts: the combination of these diverse skills and perspectives will catalyze women’s health innovation that is disruptive, durable, and equitable. I am beyond proud of our team’s role in this remarkable ecosystem, and we are excited to go far together”

- Miller Morris, Founder and CEO of Comma

What is the Milken Institute?

The Milken Institute is a nonpartisan, nonprofit think tank that brings together leaders, experts, and innovators to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges. Guided by leaders with backgrounds in business, public service, finance, philanthropy, health, and more, the Institute develops ideas and resources that help people live healthier, more meaningful lives.

Launch of the Women’s Health Network

The Milken Institute just launched the Women’s Health Network. The goal is simple but powerful: speed up progress on lifesaving research and give women everywhere access to better health and wellbeing.

Dr. Jill Biden’s Leadership

The Milken Institute has named Dr. Jill Biden, the former First Lady of the United States, as Chair of its new Women’s Health Network in recognition of her long-standing leadership in this space. Just last December, she spearheaded the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research — a milestone event that our founder, Miller, proudly attended.

Following an invitation from President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, Miller joined fellow pioneers in women’s health at the White House to celebrate the Administration’s meaningful investments in women’s health research and innovation.

As Dr. Biden shared, “From endometriosis to healthy aging, the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research made important investments in research and development, while making clear it will take collaboration across industries to bring these innovations to scale.” Her leadership is helping turn long-overdue promises into progress, ensuring women everywhere benefit from lifesaving research.

What the Network is Building

Together, members of the Women’s Health Network are working to:

  • Connect and collaborate: Bring together people and organizations who care about women’s health to spark new relationships and partnerships.

  • Share resources: Provide tools, insights, and support to help new ideas grow and reach more people.

  • Lift up innovation: Spotlight solutions addressing real and unmet needs in women’s health.

  • Strengthen the ecosystem: Expand and amplify resources that benefit the entire women’s health community.

Why This Matters for the Future of Women’s Health

For decades, women’s health has lacked the funding, research, and visibility it deserves. This gap has slowed down progress and left critical needs unmet. The Women’s Health Network is working to change that by bringing together leaders who are committed to collaboration and action.

By joining this community, Comma is contributing to a movement that ensures women’s health is no longer overlooked. Instead, it stands at the center of progress, shaping a healthier future for women everywhere.
